Duchesne Student Club Sporting Scholarship
The “Duchesne Student Club Sporting Scholarship” has been established with the objective of assisting a student to undertake her undergraduate university degree whilst residing at Duchesne College, based on her potential contribution to the sports program of the College.
Applications may be made by any student who meets the criteria outlined below and who is enrolled in a full-time undergraduate university degree and intends to spend the following year residing in Duchesne College. Holders of other awards or scholarships are eligible to apply for this Scholarship. The eligibility factors are:
(a) Accepted to Duchesne College as a new resident, as per the College’s normal application process
(b) Demonstrated willingness to participate in the Inter-College Competition (ICC)
(c) Demonstrated ability in sport/s at an elite level
The Award will be made on the basis of:
(a) Evidence of dedication and proficiency in individual or team sporting endeavours;
(b) Demonstrated willingness to compete for Duchesne College in the Inter-College Competition;
(c) Leadership and personal qualities;
(d) Commitment to attending QUT, UQ or ACU.
The College will take into account other awards, bursaries and/or scholarships in its ranking of the candidates.
The Award shall be tenable for one year and is to the value of $6000, granted as a remission of the College annual fee, half the amount of which will be applied at the commencement of each academic semester.
