Duchesne College Council Bursary
Commencing in 2007, the Duchesne College Council Bursary has been awarded with the object of assisting a current Duchesne College student to continue her undergraduate university degree whilst residing in College.
Applications may be made by any student who is enrolled for a full-time undergraduate university degree and who is returning to Duchesne College after having completed at least one full-time academic year at university while living at the College. Applicants are required to have a GPA of 4.00 or above and are required to demonstrate satisfactory progress in their program. Documentary evidence of this is required. Holders of other awards or scholarships are eligible to apply for a Duchesne College Council Bursary.
The Award will be made on the basis of:
- (a) demonstrated commitment to the degree/discipline undertaken and satisfactory academic progress (as indicated by the applicant's GPA);
- (b) demonstrated commitment to the life and service of Duchesne College;
- (c) demonstrated leadership and personal qualities;
- (d) demonstrated financial need.
The award shall be tenable for one year but may be extended for a second year following an annual review, which shall be conducted in accordance with the selection criteria. Current holders of a Duchesne bursary must submit a new application if they wish to seek renewal.
Applications for Bursary close on 30 September, 2019 (for incoming students). Late applications will only be considered at the discretion of The Head of College.
