Chair of Council Message

In January 2018, the Duchesne College community warmly welcomed Ms Kate Tully as our new Head of College. Kate comes to Duchesne with outstanding qualifications – she is an accomplished community leader, she has a long history of advocating for women and she has an excellent understanding of regional Queensland.

During 2017, Kate finished a six-year tenure as CEO of YWCA Queensland. She accomplished much in that time, continuing her work of enhancing the lives of women and young people. During this time, she received a QUT Alumni of the Year Award for her contribution to the sector, and was also recognised in the Community Dedication category in the Women in Business Australia Awards.

Kate is Chair of the Queensland Council of Social Service (QCOSS). She is also an Ambassador for the Queensland Plan – one of 15 people selected by the Premier to help guide a 30-year vision for Queensland.

We are delighted that she has chosen to take the next step in her distinguished career at Duchesne, and warmly welcome her to the College.
